I would have to agree with you! The Sims 2 is so much better. I'll admit that the Sims 3 is interesting because there are many new features added and walking through the neighborhood is fun. But, I find that there's TOO many things added to this game. Most of the time i'm completely confused and im quite disappointed with the sims 3.
