Trinitarians, do you ever wonder....?

Do you ever wonder if referring to Jesus as God is breaking the first commandment or a bit blasphemous? Do you ever doubt the trinity?

Update:

Don't you think that "I and my father are one" Jesus is one with God...as in, spiritually?

Update 2:

*no TDs are from me*

Update 3:

Wasn't the council of Nicea comprised of men?

It is not that I doubt it, it is just I have not found enough in the Bible to really know either way... I pray to God IN Jesus name.... I am trying to dig deep enough to find the answer and to be SURE of my assumption that Jesus is God... but, like I said, I only assume at this point.... But, I also find no evidence that Jesus or anyone else holds this point against us, knowing or not knowing.... Jesus is our Savior, our Light, Our Redeemer....... go in peace..... God bless

  • Why do you even need a trinity, if there was and still is, the One God. Why worship a son (if israel is a son and you are a son or daughter), when you already have a Father in heaven? And there is no son without the Father, if God would need one to be more worldly? Why complicate things and also make them more closely resemble heathen religions, just because we are so enamored with our "traditions of man" or want to remake God in man's image?

Very good question. If Jesus ever claimed to be God while among Jews, he would have been stoned to death - even son of God for that matter.

Historically speaking, there have been many Christians who have refuted the Trinity. The Trinity is an insult to reason and is even contrary to scripture.

    John 8:58-59 (King James Version)

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

    John 10:30-32

I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

It is Jesus that said that He is God. The Jews would of stoned him the same way we still try to stone him for claiming equality with God.However:-

    1. If He blasphemes then how is He able to do those miracles

    2. if He blasphemed then why did God raise Him from the dead.

    3. if He is a liar, then how will mankind be saved?

    John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    I'm not a trinitarian, I'm a quaditarian.

The final manifestation of the Godhead has yet to be revealed as the Kingdom Age, and the King of kings, has yet to be manifest to the world.

God the creator was revealed to the first age, the age of Adam's Rebellion ending in Nimrod's rebellion. God the Son was revealed at the end of the second age beginning with Isaac, and ending with John Baptist. The Holy Spirit was revealed as the third person of the Godhead in the third age, which is now approaching it's climax, and will culminate with the resurrection of the witnesses at the end of this age. And the fourth age appointed to this creation will begin with the King of kings and Lord of lords taking posession of what He purchased on the cross.

Jesus won't be the same at his return. His first coming was characterized by "obedience unto death", after the pattern of Isaac, the patriarch of the age appointed to the chosen people. The resurrected Lord will return in power and great glory. Everything that was descended from Adam was not just changed, it was transformed from death into life.

You could say He's a new man! And if you're any kind of mathematician, that's FOUR.

I accept that Jesus is God, based on the biblical account.

And, I don't believe in the trinity.
