Have you ever been so stressed that your heart actually hurts from beating so hard/fast?
I clocked a blood pressure of 155/102 with a resting heart rate of 95 this morning. I know it's due to stress because I'm a fitness instructor and live a really healthy lifestyle and usually have a blood pressure of around 125/70 and resting heart rate around 65.
It actually feels like it hurts a bit and makes me feel a bit sick. How messed up is that?

Yes, I don't check blood pressure or heart rate but I feel heart palpitations when i get stressed and often get pains under my breast near my heart and feel very sick . They are all symptoms of stress and anxiety. Being a fitness instructor should help you deal with these episodes as your body is more ready for the stressed. It is horrid but they go away. It's because you body is getting ready for fight or flight when in an anxious state. Keep an eye on the blood pressure though as that seems very high and may need beta blockers for particularly anxious times.

First, see your doctor and get checked out. Our rates do change throughout the day and everyone is different. Stress is the #1 cause for almost every dis-ease there is and it takes more lives than anything else. Stress is a mental health issue and certainly needs to be dealt with as soon as possible, physically first and then mentally. I had heart rate problems a few years ago where my rate would go from 160 or higher one day and down to 30 the next. It was called an irregular heart beat and I was put on a beta blocker for it, called Atenol which helped alot. Never fool around or procrastinate with your heart. It's the only one you got. Take care

No.
You may have a healthy physical life style but your mental life style appears to be poor and is affecting your physical health as well.Anything that affects the mind will affect the body.
Try telling us what your cause/s of stress are.
It is not a weakness to ask for help.

Yes my mum had a phsychotic episode and she wouldn't sleep. So when i was supposed to be sleeping everytime i heard her move my heart used to pump so hard i thought it was gonna rip through my ribs or something.
But you should go to the doctors.
