Hi Happy,
There are a number of institutions and other social systems that engage in re-socialization. The military, schools, churches, prisons, etc. The underlying issues involve the following:
1. Extinguishing the previously learned responses of the individual.
2. Substituting new responses which are deemed appropriate.
Another way of putting it is that you first break down the individual and then you build him/her back up. Regards.
