you have got to listen to mi brilliant idea (which someone already probably thought about...but oh well)!

ok, you can sell your phone, and get and create your iPod touch into a Phone without jailbreaking it, for $3 a month.

Step 1: Create a Skype account.

If you dont already have one, create a Skype account. It is easy and it is free (Skype.com). Then goto your account and goto the "Call Phones tab and get the plan you wish to use.

Step 2: Set up your iPod touch.

Get your iPod touch, and get the free skype app (or you could use Fring). Setup your account info.

Step 3: Buy a couple other stuff

From reading steps 1 and 2, you can see 2 problems developing.

1. The iPod touch needs a mic to make calls

2. Skype needs internet access to make calls

Solution 1=Buy the iPod mic on mi first link. Only $12

Solution 2=Buy the portable modem for $40 after mail-in rebate. This is actually a really cheap price for a portable modem. The portable modem is pretty much a walking hot-spot so you can get internet wherever you can get a 3g signal.

Step 4: Test it out

You can sell your other phone and test this out. If there are and problems, feel free to email me. This is a very cast effective plan and it all pays of in the first month.

P.S. iPhone costs $200 and iPod touch costs $230...

You sound like you already know the right answer. Buy the iphone. It's cheap, it's fast, and you already lost your itouch. Make the choice you already know is right.
