I would like to take my girlfriend on a romantic holiday for a week. I need some advice on a place to go?

First of all- i have no clue where you live. So i just picked some great vacation spots that i know.

Mexico- Very classic vacation, with alot of culture. The only thing is the whole tourist thing. Good food, nice beaches, etc.

How about Guatamala?

Excellent food and theres alot of cultural heritage. If you have travelled before, i would reccomend this.

Phuket- Beautiful, nice place to be, nice people and lots of good food. One of my favorite vacation spots

Bali- *VERY* touristy, but if you can handle that there's some temples and hot springs. Lots of food varieties and really nice beaches!

Pulau Sipadan (Malaysia)- Known as one of the best diving spots in the world, amazing sealife. Great snorkeling and excellent diving.

Pulau Perhentian/Rawa (Malaysia)- Rawa is absolutely amazing/goregeous water and very clear! Stunning island.

Pulau Perhentian, i guess you can find some good resorts but food wouldn't be that great, just normal. The beaches are lovely, good snorkeling, great kayaking.

Even though egypt is beautiful, i wouldn't reccoment because of the whole theft thing on some tours.

As someone has previously suggested Canada is a great place to spend some time, especially as a couple. It is young, trendy, hip and oozes culture.

My suggestion would be to fly from the UK to Canada via www.canadianaffair.com.

Call ahead to the hotel and have them place flowers and champagne in the room ready for your arrival.

You will agree I am sure that these rooms at the hotel are superb!!

The next day arrange to have a picnic on the islands, which your room look out to. Here you will find plenty of beaches which nobody will venture on to as they are remote, which will make it kinda cute.

There rest of your time in toronto can be shopping, theatre shows, Wonderland (themepark), clubs, bars and restaurants(including the one at the top of the CN Tower).

I think you'll find that Niagara falls by night is gorgeous and certainly romantic.

Try Peru. Great history sites,nice local people,plenty of souvenirs. Opportunities for hiking,biking,tours etc. The famous Machu Pichu is worth seeing. Also Brazil is kinda nice with the historical statue of Jesus. Egypt with the safari tours,pyramids,tombs,bazaars,great place. And the river Nile. There are a lot of places,most depend on where you are(beacuse you said 10h max travel) and how much you want to spend. Research online and find the right thing.

Miami.i live here and it's pretty nice.great nightlife and a lot of culture( latino culture specially). the hotels here are cheap and nice. hey is the sunshine state.and for some of the days you could take a roadtrip to orlando and got to disney for a few days.the nightlife is great. there's a lot of shopping(4 You gf).it has great food...tooo.
