How do you get rid of smell of dead rats under caravan which is boarded in?

rat/rats attracted by neighbour continually putting out food for birds, foxes and seagulls. Put down poison but now worried that rats will die and cause bad smell, how long will smell last and how do you get rid of smell when gap between caravan and ground is only a few inches and nest is out of reach? Thanks for any help.

Update:

Some people call them caravans, others call them mobile homes, or static caravans. That was a good idea to move it if it were easy, but the static caravan is large, all boarded in, has a balcony, is on a slope and would cost a fortune to move it. Very good idea though. The area underneath is roughly 32 x 12 and it goes to a wedge and they are inbetween the paving underneath the gas bottles. Short of digging up the paving I don't know what the best thing to do is. Help please, I hate rats!

Find the origin of that haunting smell, yuck.

Step 2Look in the yard, in all rooms of your house, and in the basement. Your find may be a mouse, rat, cat, dog, or another creature.

Step 3If you find the problem, pour some liquid bleach on the dead animal. Then scoop it up with a shovel or pick it up using plastic bags for gloves and put the dead carcass in a garbage bag. Tie the ends of the garbage bag tightly, so smell can't escape. To be on the safe side, put the garbage bagged animal in another garbage bag and tie it up properly,

Step 4Pour liquid bleach on the area that smells for instant odor cure

    It's a caravan right?

Remove boards - get wheels working - and tow it off the patch.

Clear the ground - and put it back again.

(you may have to undo a couple of pipes - but easy enough)

Frebreze should clear the smell up. If not, try oust, or glade 2 in 1.
