BULLDOGS - what happens?

So what is the DOGS turn up to play and the broncos dont? is that an official forfeit under the rules?

Update:

I appreciate all the guesses and opinions I am really interested in the actual rules ok.

No need to be rude - I dont coach under 14's have been away from NSW for some years and am genuinely asking a serious question.

Update 2:

Hey people I AM a league fan first then a DOGS supporter.

I am not suggesting anything, just want to know what the OFFICIAL rule is ok.

NRL makes rules WE all have to live with just like to know what it is lol.

You sound like you coach the u/14's!

I'm sure the NRL would not let that scenario develop.

They've got another disease to worry about.

Well, one would think that common sense would prevail here. If Hunt tests positive, then all the Broncos team will be in quarantine, and that means the under 20's too. This is not something the Broncos can control so should not be penalized for it. Surely they can play the game at another time. There is another player who tested positive I heard, I think from the Storm, so the Broncos will not be the only team affected by this it seems.

I am sure no fan would like to see his team not given a chance to play their game and just be docked 2 points if they could not field a team because of this situation.

The Broncos cannot pick from the under 20's as suggested as they will be in quarantine too as they train together. Surely they would not expect them to field a school boy side against a top team..

The Doggies obviously want to play especially when half or more of the broncos are out with the flu. If they don't have the numbers, the game should be deferred. Apart from Dogs supporters, who's going to watch the Bulldogs play a Qld Cup side.

The NRL's dilemma is that they are required to play 8 games a week (byes excluded) under the television contract. It is also a bit late to have another team move their game to Friday night.

The worse that could happen would be for the broncos to field a sub standard team, thus allowing the game to once again head into disrepute.

if broncos lose their first grade team to quarantine they also lose their 20s cause they all train together therefore are all are treated the same. this means no 20s or NRL team so they cant make do with 20s!! All restrictions are not broncos doing but they are just following QLD health guidelines.

pulled players from park footy, yes- but not a whole team 17 players who arent even in your top 25 seniors or 25 under20's is a big call.

That wouldn't happen.. The game would be cancelled in advance, if the Broncos have no first grade players, they have to make do with the under 20s.

Yes it is, however that would never happen, teams in past era's have pulled guys up from park footy to play, thats the way that it is, we can not set precedents or clubs will exploit the system

They would call the game off because it wouldn't be fair that they get punished because they had players playing in State of Origin where Swine Flu was.

I have heard on the news that the game will be postponed to a later date. Both clubs would be aware.

why can they not be told to field a team from there feeder clubs there would be enough players there and think of the experience those players would get
