I need help with downloaded fonts?

Question

I just downloaded two fonts. Now I've downloaded many fonts in the past and have always been able to use them on Powerpoint.

Now I open up Powerpoint, and my downloaded fonts aren't there. My old ones are, but the new ones are not and will not show up. They only appear on Microsoft Word.

What is happening? How can I get them on Powerpoint again? I have tried uninstalling and downloading/installing again multiple times.

Hi Princess,

You might want to use fonts which are common to all systems. If you plan to send your PowerPoint presentation to someone else, they might not have your special fonts installed on their computer, and they would see boring, dull, default system fonts.

If you embed fonts in your PowerPoint presentation, the file size can become huge, so be aware of this.

The only way to truly guarantee that someone sees your fancy font on their computer when viewing your presentation, is to create an image of the word in the special font, and embed that image in the slideshow.

"The font should now show up in the font list of all your programs. If you have any programs running you will need to quit and restart them before they see the newly installed font. Worse case scenario - if the fonts aren't showing up, restart the computer."
