Vista PC randomly loses browser capability on wireless connection?

I am using a wireless router with my pc and my laptop.

Laptop never loses connection at all, so my problem is with my vista pc. Sometimes the browser alone loses all internet capability, either with dns (www.yahoo.com) or any ip adress (local or real-world).

i can still ping real-world addresses from a command prompt, so dns is working for the pc, but no browser (IE nor Mozilla) will connect to anything at all.

I try disabling adapter and re-enabling and even logging off and back in, no dice. The only thing that ever cures it is a reboot. Then it's fine for hours.

I have the latest regular vista updates

any ideas?

    Well, you could check

    Tools

    Internet Options

    Connections

    Lan Settings

See if "automatically detect settings" is ticked. If it does have a tick then untick it, that may solve the problem.

If it isn't ticket, try ticking it. Either way change what it is set as and reboot and see if there is any change.

The utility (OS for that reason) does help on the spot networks yet till you have on the spot enjoying cards put in in each and each laptop you nonetheless won't have on the spot! The router is in basic terms a connection gadget that on the spot enjoying cards can connect into.
