Say a father is in the witness protection program and is court ordered to pay child support...?

what happens then....who pays...does the mother get SSI...just a general question....thanx!

    I would imagine that the Feds would cover it, since he would not be able to be found by normal means.

  • Child support would come through the US Marshals not directly from the husband. SSI would probably be dependent on her income.

    The Feds would take care of it because his name would also have been changed too. So he would have to pay them and they would in turn give the mother to his wife or ex wife...
