why do some questions get deleted?

There are several reasons for question/answers being removed from this site.The reasons are as follows:-

1 ► The № 1 reason for question being removed is because yahoo community determines that your question breaks the rule of Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or yahoo! Terms of Service which you agreed abide during posted contents on this site.As a result, your content(s) has been deleted.(Chat or rant, adult content, spam, insulting other members,Solicitation,etc..)

3 ► You didn't receive any single answer during the time limit period(4 days).As a result of which your question expired and automatically gets deleted.

4 ► Your question went to community vote and the voters didn't think that any of the answers deserved as the best answers.So he voted for "No best answer".As a result, your question automatically gets deleted.

You deleted the question or answer yourself

The best answer to your question was removed by Yahoo! or the community, when a best answer is removed, the associated question is automatically removed No Email is sent in this situation.

When a question is deleted, all associated answers, including the best answer, are deleted as well.

Yahoo! reserves the right to remove content that we determine to be inappropriate and/or in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. Check your activity tab on your profile page. If there is nothing about a violation there and you didn't receive an email, then the Q was removed for one of the other reasons. (Activity tab is located on your profile page.

Sometimes people ask questions that go against Yahoo Answers Community guidelines and they get reported by other trustworthy users in the community. The reported asker can get booted out of his account by asking prohibited questions. You can even unknowingly ask the prohibited question and still get deleted or "suspended".

Read all the rules from Yahoo Answers before you violate one of them and still get booted. Hope this helps!
