even though this might be stupid, but ask them if they will charge you for having it modded. If they say yes, you might want to get the original part from ebay or something and put it back together, and then ask them.

If it it wasn't modded, you're still going to get charged. No one is going to fix your Wii for you for free.
Look on the bright side, with all the money you saved by pirating games, you can afford to get another Wii.
