I remember a few years back they had Aaron Davey on the show. Now that I think about it actually, he chose to sing a song by Michael Jackson lol.
Do remember though that there is a lot more Caucasian players than Aboriginal players. Putting an Aboriginal player on week in, week out would therefore be considered racist by many; your putting more emphasis on the minority.
Source(s): I also do remember the Fremantle Street Talk a few years back, when Newman and the team made Aboriginals (and the town of Fremantle) look very bad. I found a link here, it's quite funny in some bits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cq-HHjKFEs So yeah, I dunno. It's a tough one. - 1 decade ago
The AFL Footy show isn't racist, it's just the aboriginal players might avoid the footy show and I don't think it's just the footy show, Before The Game doesn't put many aboriginal players on, and the same with Footy Classified. Another conclusion is that there is a lot more white blokes in the AFL and they would probably be more well known known then the aboriginals.
And they don't always put the most important players on The Footy Show, like when was the last time you saw Gary Ablett Junior on it?

For all we know, they may not want to go on The Footy Show. They ask players to go on as guest panellists, then the players can agree or decline the offer. I think the club might have a say in it too.

i think you're a douchebag. who needs to GET-A-LIFE. if you don't like the footy show, then dont watch it. when have the footy show ever insulted indigenous players? until you can pinpoint that, i will disagree with you, and say good day sir.

Did you watch the show on Thursday, Gibson from North was on, he's not indiginous but he isn't white either, his dad is West Indian, he is coloured, so there goes your theory.
I've seen plenty of aboriginal players on there over the years, from Robbie Muir to Michael Long etc.

They had Gibson from North Melbourne on the other night, I do not think that he is aboriginal but he is of darker skin. Im sure that they do not descriminate against colours.

I don't know. But last week Sam N wouldn't shut the f-ck up about that guy's dad being West Indian... It came across racist to me.
