registration fees for motorcycle??? how is it calculated?

i bought a bike and i want to knw how much i might be charged to register it... i put that i bought it for 1000 on the sale fee on the release of transfer form....how does dmw calculate the fee???

    There is a flat fee for the tags and title, and the sales tax is usually based on the book value of the bike.

    Exact fees will vary by state, but are all listed on your state DMV's website.
