anyone on loestrin 24?
I just started almost 3 weeks ago. This week I forgot to take one of my pills and didn't get to it until 5 or 6 hours later and 2 days later I started bleeding. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how long the bleeding lasts.

I used to be on Loestrin and I hated it. I took it religiously (approximately same time time every day.) and halfway through pack 4, I began bleeding. Like heavy enough to be a period. I went back to see my doctor and she suggested that Loestrin may not be a strong enough prescription for me (as in too low dose) and switched me to Yasmin, which I had been on before and loved ( I changed trying to find a cheaper pill, this was before the generic Yasmin came out). I also had a lot of other side effects on Loestrin....my boobs hurt like crazy and I was constantly having migraines.
I also have PCOS, so I pretty much have to be on some form of birth control to regulate my period. If you are having problems, talk to your doctor, you may just need to find another pill that works for you
