I'll second that.. Mine is 91 nearing 300,000k and it has been "trouble free" to a large degree- but I have had to become my own mechanic that odd strange design confuses most mechanics , and even the Toyota dealer could not get the spark plugs changed, when it was new. Even their "tained mechancis" didn't know the passinger seat simply comes out and the access plate for the spark plugs is right there.

I brought the Toyota service manual and read up on it and its really designed very well and over engineered. What other make could mount the motor flat in the middle and run two drive shafts off the same motor and make it work?

I have seen on Previa Yahoo Groups they run to 348,000 miles and the timing chain finally breaks . Replace it at 300K and keep on going. For those out of the loop Toyota designed a oil pressure activated rachet tensioner to keep the timing chain tight. 350k and it finally breaks.

Sadly parts are getting hard to get and find and Toyota only Items are not stocked so much anymore but most can be ordered yet. They made the Previa for a few more years in Europe and Australia ( called Tago) where the mechanics were "smarter". 97 was the last one for the US.
