I don't believe you'll have anything left. You'll still have the unlimited txting and the internet but everything else should be deleted because you're restarting the phone itself which means it clear everything with it. That's contacts, apps, games, photos, you could get all that stuff copied or extracted with Apple or on another software or disc and reinsert them. You should ask APPLE.COM-"Chat" or "email" or "phone" and they'll be able to assist u.

By that i mean does it reset my contacts and service plan? or just the rest of the phone like the apps. Just to help clarify a bit will i still have unlimited text and internet if i reset it and will my contacts remain?

Apple lets your restore your iphone so that you can "reboot" it to the original settings. They wouldn't make it so that you lose all your plans. Basically what will happen is it will turn off, then the apple logo will pop up with a bar underneath. The computer screen will show things like "downloading software" or "preparing iphone for restore" and when the bar on your iphone fills all the way, it will be just like you reset it, except all of your things (apps, music, videos) will be gone, which is why you should back up your files before the restore. When your computer detects this restored iphone, it will ask if you want to restore it to your previously saved backup, and you press yes to make it reload all of your files onto your iphone.

if you mean reset by holding the home button and the lock button, then nothing will happen besides the phone shuting down and restarting, my iTouch freezes all the time and that is what I do to un freze it.

it will turn off and on...everything will be the same...
