Maui or Oahu for a honeymoon?
I am trying to plan a honeymoon for my wife and I, and I am having trouble deciding between Maui and Oahu.
Oahu has Honolulu and a city atmosphere.
Maui has a little less people, so more seclusion.
I want to be able to snorkel, hang out on a nice white sandy beach, go on day trips, rent mopeds, and if possible, find a remote beach somewhere and have a beach fire. Where is the best place to do these things: Maui or Oahu? Any other suggestions among the Hawaiian Islands to do these things?

Oahu. i live in oahu, and i hav also been to maui. Maui has much less things to do and it gets very tedious after a while. on the other hand, oahu has a more variety. oahu has all of the things you want, but i don't think maui has many snorkel places. i recommend you Hanauma Bay at Oahu for snorkeling, as it is beautiful. some other suggestions are(on oahu, that is) :
*polynesian culture center
*sea life park
*north shore
*kailua beach
*ala mona shopping center (it is great there)

You can do them on either island, but I suggest Oahu. You can stay in Honolulu, enjoy the restaurants but go to the beach on another part of the island that is more secluded. It is so much better than Maui.

Oahu is crowded and alot of nightlife. Maui less crowded, less clubs too, but Kauai, oops i just got a headrush from thinking about that lovely lovely green state,,,,,i tihink Kauai if you really want romance. forget the clubs, youre married now.

Either one will give you whta you are looking for. Other great Hawaii Islands can be found on Key Vacation Rentals. This site offers vacation rentals by owner.

My guess is that a woman would prefer Honolulu and you can find all you want to do there too.
