WHAT BRANCH OF THE MILITARY IS THE EASIEST TO GET INTO WITH A SERIOUS FELONY CONVICTION?
THIS CONVICTION OCCURED AS A MINOR AT THE AGE OF 13. WHICH BRANCH IS MOST LIKELY TO PROVIDE A WAIVER. WE'VE SPOKEN WITH AN ARMY RECRUITER AND HE SAID THE ONLT WAY HE CAN GET HIM IN IS IF HE GETS THE CHARGE PARDONED IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. ARNOLD HAS ONLY GRANTED 3 PARDONS PERIOD AND WE DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT THE PROCESS. WE WOULD PREFER NOT TO HAVE TO GET A PARDON. WHO WILL BE MOST LIKELY TO EXCUSE A VERY SERIOUS FELONY CONVICTION. AIR FORCE ALREADY SAID NO WAY. I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT THE WAIVER PROCESS. I ALSO KNOW AIR FORCE DOESNT GIVE FELONY WAIVERS. IM JUST WONDERING WHO WILL BE THE MOST LENIENT. PLEASE ONLY REPLY WITH SPECIFIC INFORMATION PREFERABLY A RECRUITER. I DONT WANT TO HEAR THERES NO CHANCE I KNOW THATS NOT TRUE. SO ONLY REPLY IF YOU REALLY REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.
yes it was a molestation charge. im posting this question for my boyfriend. he had a really rough life. is there any hope out there? i would really prefer to hear from recruiters only. if there isnt it would be devastating. I HAVE TO KNOW THERES A CHANCE.

I have never known of a 13 year old who has been charged with a Felony and convicted. Unless it Was Capitol Murder, and you are not going to get a Waiver for That.
Something doesn't add up, or you are not telling the whole Story.
Most 13 year olds who have been found Guilty of a Crime are Sentenced to Juvie. Until the age of 18 and or 21. Then The Record is Expunged.
So your Story doesn't add up .
With that type of charge I believe he has to be Registered as a Sex Offender, and The Military won't touch him in that Case.
Good Luck, But I think it's not going to Happen

The only branch that I know of that will allow someone with a felony record is the army. The moral waiver is harder to get now than ever though, with so many people wanting to enlist.
Even if the court seals or ex sponges your record, the military will still get that information. You will most likely have to get a pardon from the state you were convicted in. Depending on the severity of your crime, that most likely won't happen. I'm sorry. But Try, and Try again. Prove to these people that you have turned a new leaf and want to serve your country. Don't give them anything to use against you. (and don't write anything in ALL CAPS) it looks terrible, and like you're upset. It's bad computer etiquette and will not help your case.
It's noble of you to want to serve, and it seems since you were 13 that you have turned your life around. Good luck to you.

Well with the limited information provided, I can not give precise information, however I will try to provide some light on your question.
First, for a waiver on the felony level, the individual will need to be a tier 1 recruit. Meaning a high school grad. (or what is considered the equivalent, a GED recipient is considered equal to a high school diploma with 15 college credits) Next the limitation on other waivers will make it a lot easier to get this accomplished. No Waivers from; medical history, nothing serious in the past, not other criminal type behavior (especially anything recent), no moral waivers (meaning drug abuse or drug use) and no weight issues. Furthermore be capable to pass a PFT (on the poolie level, i.e. the Marine Corps pre-boot camp PFT, actually called an IST- Initial Strength Test- consists of the following, a mile and a half run completed around 9 minutes (with a little latitude above 9 minutes) at the extreme minimum 4 pull-ups, and also 100 crunches in 2 minutes. no if all else is Good 2 Go, and it is only what you are looking at from the younger aged criminal hash mark, it will depend...
... This is where it is hard to answer without knowing the charges, however as long as it was not a sexual related crime, or a crime that forced a long stay in a Juvenile Detention Center, there is a good chance that the Navy or the Corps will take the Waiver. Violent related charges like assault or fighting and so on, this is no problem, drug related, the Corps will harder to achieve compared to the Army and the Navy.
Basically any waiver can be granted, it just depends on the time of year, and with whom the waiver goes through. With the Marine Corps and the Navy, the best time is to achieve entrance for those that have been declined before at the end of the fiscal year when numbers are low, and they need to fill slots with bodies to make the numbers. (the Military fiscal year ends in October) Your best bet is to get everything to the best it can be, weight, education, health, and so on and just go talk with a recruiter in the Marines, then the Navy then the Army if needed too. One thing you need to keep in mind is that at the end of every month recruiters normally are hurting for numbers and are more likely to bend over backwards to make slots full, and also toward the end of the fiscal year. Another important thing is, if you do not like how the recruiter you are dealing with is handling the situation, speak with the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge) of that recruiting center, and then too feel free to talk with a multitude of recruiters if needed to. Let them know that you are looking into another Branch, and you want nothing more than to learn from the past, and move to Serve your Country and Your Corps (Army, Navy, etc...) with all that you are and all that you have, recruiters die for motivation...!
If your hand is forced, shop around, find the recruiter that will do what it takes to get you where you wish to be.
Always remember though, be upfront about everything from the start, when they find out hidden things in the latter parts of the enlisting process that is when things get bad, and also harder to process.
I hope this helps somewhat, I wish I could give more defining answers, but I too understand the need to not publicly post private situations from ones life.
Best of luck, and keep your (or his) head high and get motivated.
Captain of Marines.

Looking at your prior questions it seems the charge is molestation. I am sorry that you do not want to hear this but you will not get in to ANY branch. Furthermore if you are taking meds on a regular basis(I think you know what kind) you can't be on them when you are in the military. You have to be off them for a year. When you go to the recruiter they do a pre-check right there. Traffic tickets show up! So whether is was sealed or not, there is a record of it. It seems like you are in a really bad situation but this will not work for you. I wish you the best.

As far as I'm aware, the only branch of the military which may possibly consider taking a felon is the army. However, it all depends on the specifics of the crime as to whether you'll get a waiver.

You can not go into ANY military branch with a felony charge.
And stop typing your story in caps.
There is no chance, it is true, deal with it, its how military works.
