Saxon or Equi Star Paddock boots?
I am thinking of getting paddock boots for riding and I was wondering which brand is better. I am thinking of the Saxon Paddock Boot or the Equi Star Paddock boot. They look relatively the same, they both lace up, and they are exactly the same price, but which brand is more known and will hold up longer. They both cost $34.95.
Thanks!

I tried both of those brands (in the tall boot version) as I used to like to wear tall boots everyday and both were horrible quality. They looked OK at first, but didn't clean up too well. The stitching came undone at the tops. I went through 4 pairs of them (they kept sending me more! >.<).
My suggestion is to get some Ariat boots- they cost a lot more, but will actually last more than a month or two.

It's better to go on e-bay and find a pair of used Ariat's than to buy Saxon or Equistar. You wouldn't think the boot would make that much difference to your riding, but it does. Ariat's are awesome. I have a used pair that I wear and they have been great. I also bought my daughter a used pair and they were pretty worn when she was done, but she out grew them anyway.
If you don't want to buy used, you're probably better off looking for a leather, $50 boot. I know it sounds expensive, but those vinyl paddock boots are harder to ride in and uncomfortable.

I agree with the first user. I ordered a pair of Saxon boots and they were awful. They were so stiff I could barely walk right and the zippers wouldn't hardly zip up. I think they would've been trashed in a month. I bought ariats and I really like them. I also have a pair of smokey mountain paddock boots, and they held up super well. They're cheap too.

Ariat, they cost more but will out last 10 pair or either of those brands! I bought my daughter the saxon boots, she rode in them 4 times and the rubber sole peeled off the toe!
