i know about chicken liver. what else is good to use for catfish bait in the river? thanx

Cut up shad and small crawfish or worms would all be great catfish baits.

Depends on how you are fishing. If baiting a trot-line, you may want to try small perch or bream. Especially the red and/or orange bellied ones. I have also known people to have success baiting lines with certain type of soap cubes.
Chicken livers should work well. You can also try night crawlers, cheese/stinkbait, or shiners.

Live bait is the best.their is some stuff called secret 7 supost to be the best.
