I found a white spider hanging on my bedroom light! What is it?

It was totally white and it had spun it's wed all over in between my lights. It's web was kind of random and lacy looking if that helps. Also is it poisonous?

this would be harmless. probably a cobweb spider, and after a moth

or two. if this is a very small spider, it could be an instar (juvenile)

and will take on different colors when it becomes an adult.

the spider is not going to hurt anything, but in time will make

quite a messy web out of your light.

It could have disguised to look white and I think what you saw is called a Lampshade spider. It usually builds it's web in dark caves.

It could have got into your home when it was dark and you could not see it and decided to squat in your lampshade. It was probably a female because it is much bigger than the male.

I dont know if it's poisonous but treat it as caution.

    Did it look like this.

The light could have turned him white.

    Or it could be albino.
