Is it normal to get a lower abdomen ache when my periods first start?

Each month when my periods first start, i get an ache that usually stays there til the 2nd day into my periods.. is this normal & does this occur in most girls?

    very normal. i get it throughout my period actually. they're called cramps. it happens in.. your ovaries? i think. when it spasms, it creates pain.

    take midol. it cures you of all period pains. you just have to deal with them.

    Oh yes. For me, I get that dull ache in my stomach, and then I feel very nauseous. It is perfectly normal and happens to many women.

    yes i do get lower abdomen ache, and lower back too.

    it's normal. yes it does occur to most girl included my best friend too.

    Yes, and most of the time so is being bloated.

    i get that a few days before and its normal i get bad cramps and stitches.

    Ya, its very normal.Though it doesn't occurs to me, but it occurs to almost every girl.

    yeah. ugh it sucks.

    midol helped with that, then somehow i grew immune to midol, so i rotate random pain killers daily.
