IS the Yahoo Spam filter broken?
I have the spam filter turned on, and until recently it did a very good job of sending junk to the bulk mail folder. Over the last 5-7 days though, my inbox has been crammed with Spam and junk mail. I have double checked my Spam settings several times, but I still get overrun with junk mail. Any feedback is appreciated.
Thank you d3midway for your response. Unfortunately, it does nto seem to fit my situation. I am rather careful about my browsing habits. I clear my cache everytime I close my browser. I never even open unsolicited e-mail, I simply mark it as spam and send it to the bulk folder. My problem is that I am receiving junk mail that until about a week ago was beign sent to my spam folder, but now I'm getting it in my inbox.

When you go to different websites you leave behind cookies and that is one of the reasons you get so much spam. To help reduce the amount of spam just keep hitting the spam button. It will slow them down.
Never open and respond to unsolicited email a response lets the spammer know that your email address is active.
Never follow a spam email’s instructions to reply with the word "remove" or "unsubscribe" this is often a ploy to get you to react to the email, which lets the spammer know that your email address is valid. Hope this helps!!!

No there is something changed (as of 5/8) about the default spam filter. I too am getting messages that I know I labeled-clicked spam years ago. It looks like yahoo dumped their database of know junkers and installed some commercial one, with the result that the some stuff is getting thru,
major bummer.
