Will a 16GB USB Flash Drive work with Nintendo Wii?

I read about how the Wii has trouble reading SDHC cards so I wonder has anyone got a 16GB USB Stick to work OK on the Wii?

Update:

Also, I'm aware homebrew can read SHDC cards but I'm specifically interested in the 16GB USB stick, which isn't mentioned on howtomodyourwii.com

Update 2:

I would be using it with 3rd-party apps, not for use in the Wii menu for saving data or channels etc...

i don't know if the stick will work to store apps or games. i'm using a 2gb sd card. i tried to save a game to a 4gb usb stick in the back using usb loader, even thought the game technically fit on the stick the usb loader took way to log to get anywhere (because of the write speed of the stick 15Mb/s max) but once the file size got to a little over 2gb the usbloader program froze. i gave up after that and got a usb 2.5" external hard drive and used that instead. write speeds are awesome now and the usbloader only freezes if i backup more than 2 games with out a restart.

A wii can officially only use normal SD cards at the moment, but Nintendo is working on improving this. (Accually I think it is already included in system menu v.4.0)

If you are thinking of using it on a modded wii via usbloader (for storing games) there should be no trouble using SDHC or most hard discs - including your 16 GB flash usb.

Unless you have a modded wii the USB drive will do nothing for you. Wii can support up to 2 gb SD card, but homebrew which you may or may not know anything can use a SDHC
