check out "Cirque du Freak" by Darren Shan. Its a series of 12 books, I found them at Barnes and Noble, but also saw them on eBay.

"The Southern Vampire Series" (by Charlaine Harris). Most would know these books as the True Blood series on HBO. I'm just starting these but the first is good so far.

lastly "The Gossip Girl" series by Cecily von Ziegesar if you want to read teen drama, fashion and dirty little secrets kind of stuff. Series is 12 or 13 books plus spin-offs (The "IT Girl" series based on Jenny and "The Carlyles" series which intros 3 new characters not in the GG series)

Well, in the "other fantasy" group, I like the Dresden Files series. Harry's a wizard, the only one listed in the Chicago phone book. ;-)

The twilight series is a good novel. Maybe some Ann Rice books even.

But, if you enjoy short manga books, you can try chibi vampire.

I've always loved Ann Rice, her writing is a little wordy,but her stories are imaginative and entertaining. Check out "Inverview witha Vampire: and " Memnach the Devil"

I've recommended that series to many people today.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It has vampires, werewolves, warlocks, fairies, wizard - type people, etc. It's really an interesting book, you should read it!
