Help! Blond hair turning orange!?

I'm dying my hair a lighter shade blonde since 10 years. Natural hair color is dark blonde. I never had an issue ever.

Right now I am trying a new shade/brand. It says to leave color on for 45 mins. Well, 45 mins are over and the foam from the color on my hair is a bright orange!! I'm afraid my hair will look like that!!

Should I leave the color on a little longer?? What to do??

Wash the color out and shampoo and condition, as usual. Dry your hair completely. If it's still showing orange, you need to either purchase a blue-cast toner or if it's not too severe, you can use a blue tinted shampoo. These are both sold at Sally's.

A toner is simply a semi permanent hair color. Clairol Radiance has a blue toner, you must use the developer that goes with it. Leave this on for 5 minutes only - and go through the same process again to check your results.

I heard if you mix 1 part conditioner and 3 parts lemon that the acidity of the lemon will make your hair a little lighter...

If that doesn't work though, you should go to a hair salon tomorrow...they will know how to fix it :)

    *Hopefully your hair isn't orange*
