How long one take Benzathine penicillin [Penidure] injection?

I had DVR [Double Valve Replacement] surgery in 2004 . this is an open heart surgery

Doctor prescribed me following medicines

Warf 5mg 1 od

ecosprine 75 mg 1 od

monotrate 5 mg

and Penidure LA12 injection 3/4 monthly

now my question is how long one can take this injection

    After a valve replacement surgery the doctor will want to make sure that the valve is not left susceptible to developing infection so will cause deterioration of your heart valves.

    They will probably want to keep you on those injections permanently to ensure you don't get an infection.

    As far as how long one CAN take the injection - it is a perfectly safe antibiotic and it won't be doing you any harm.

    I AM VEMBU

    I have take penidure LA12 injection 13teen years . Doctor prescribed me life long continue injection.

    my question is anything side effect for this injection.

    inj benzathine penicillin is normally taken upto 45 years of age every 21 days

    however , recent studies advocate that it can be taken lifelong
