With the election of president Obama, will African Americans stop blaming the white man for holding them down?

No because we elected the best man for the job which has nothing to do with the drugs dumped in our neighborhoods even though we spend $20 billion a year fighting the "war on drugs". It has nothing to do with the injustice blacks face by Law Enforcement and the Justice system. It has nothing to do with income inequality which takes place everyday. It has nothing to do with the negative stereotypes and racism blacks face when applying for a job or school.

Don't get me wrong, the black community must take responsibility for their own actions as well, but as long as the other things I just described continue, then we'll never be able to fully move forward.

This is truly a classless, clueless question. Since you are not African American you have no idea of what we think or feel. This is such an old stereotype. African Americans do not think the white man holds them down since we are doing great in 2009. The world is becoming more cultural and in actuality, blending of cultures is creating a more diverse world. Now, whites are the minority. People who spread hate like yourself do the world a great injustice. People who answer this question with stupid remarks show that the school system in USA is failing and that we are breeding morons. All African Americans don't think the same. I would hate to think that all whites think like Rush Limbaugh. Use your brains people. It's a new day.

No. People on those situations should quite blaming people and get an education.
