WIth the engine hot and running, remove your dipstick. If lots of smoke comes out of the dipstick tube hole, then you can worry about rings. I don't think you have that problem. A stuck PCV or collapsed PCV hose will alter the natural ebb and flow of the crankcase venitlation system. Clean these things out thoroughly with Gum-out or Amzoil Foaming Cleaner. If you have been using cheap, bulk oil form a quicky lube, you may have sludge formation on your rings, which can be removed. The correct oil for your car will be marked, "meets or exceeds Mitsubishi specifications." There are only a few oils that do this. Oil vapors also collect on the inside of the intake manifold. Spraying the Gum-out through several vacuum ports should remove it. Remove your oil filler cap, and flip it over. Whatever you see here is what the whole inside of your engine will look like. If there is brown waxy or black crumbly carbon pieces, you need a good de-sludging. Here's how. Buy the Amzoil Foaming Cleaner. Remove your spark plugs. Insert the nozzle into each cylinder, and give it a good blast. The foaming action will penetrate any sludge deposits on your rings. Let the engine sit for about 20 minutes. Re-install the plugs and start the engine. Expect to see huge clouds of smoke from the tailpipe for several minutes. This is all the dissolved ring sludge. Power wash your entire engine, and focus on the space between the radiator and the A/C condenser.. Road debris gets trapped here and interferes with proper air flow, over time. For preventative maintenance, install a brand new genuine Mitsubishi cooling fan switch. Remember to use only genuine Mitsubishi coolant in this car. Anything else will cause major engine woes over time.ALl this extra attention will usually result in a happier engine. Good luck!!!

Blocked PCV.
This could be caused by a couple of things.
The PCV valve itself could be gummed up. This should be replaced every other oil change at a minimum. There is an easy way to check the PCV valve. Remove the PCV valve. Give it a little shake. You should hear a rattle inside the valve. No rattle means the valve is clogged and should be replaced.
Some engines will have a baffle in the valve cover where the PCV valve goes into the engine. This baffle could be blocked with sludge.
There is an intake port for the PCV system. There may also be another baffle where this port is connected to the engine. This port could be blocked by sludge. But this is unlikely as you have oil coming from this port.
Worn piston rings can also cause this. You could be getting so much blow-by at the piston rings that the PCV system can not handle it. If this is the case, time for an overhaul.
The engine running hot has nothing to do with the PCV valve. The hot engine is another issue. You already replaced the water pump so it is unlikely the cause. Next I would look at the thermostat. If the vehicle is over 5 years old and you neglect changing the coolant every 3 years, you could have a blocked radiator. A radiator shop can sometimes clear a blocked radiator. Or it needs to be replaced.

if the pcv system is not clogged ,then the oil control rings on the pistons have failed...if this is the case you can try some oil additives but chances are the engines getting tired and causing blow-by this condition will need internal mechanical repair
