Does texting while your phone is charging hurt the battery?
A kid at school told me he burned his battery out because of texting while it was charging.
Is this true?

Absolute fantasy. You can do whatever you would normally do while the phone is charging without any harmful side effects. It will take slightly longer to charge if you use it while it is charging.

No, you are safe only thing is if when you charge your phone when it is idle and it charges in 2 hrs. then while using it it may take 30 minutes more.

no it wont drain the battery,
but....
if its already low battery, then you connect it to the charger, and then start charging then it will still charge but not as fast as it would if you wernt texting

No. I think it depends on what type of phone you have. i text all the time and my phone can go up to 2days without me having to charge it!

using your phone while its being charged is not "recommended" but you can get away it easily. i guess because it might overload the battery. not sure how.
