Questions about traveling to New York City?
I live in Pittsburgh, PA. During the end of July, I want to travel one week to NYC to live with my friend. I have a few questions though :)
1) What would be cheaper: train, bus, or plane?
2) How much WOULD a plane ticket cost?
3) How much money SHOULD I take?
4) How much is cab fair?
I'm living with my friend and everything there is free, including food, shower, sleeping, etc.
I'm wonder how much should I bring all together? For shopping, food(if we eat out) extra stuff to do, even traveling.
It would just be me & I'm 15.
Thanks!

1) Bus would be the cheapest but the longest ride. Train next to cheapest and plane the most expensive. If you're coming in July it would probally cost around $100 something dollars each way.
2) Check all of the airlines websites.
3) Restaurants in NYC are expensive so if you plan on eating out every night, bring enough cash. Whatever you feel comfortable spending is what you should bring.
4) Anywhere from $2-3 each mile. Plus a tip for the driver at the end of your ride.

4) Cab fair is like $3ish a mile. A lot of things are close enough for u to walk though. Plus, it might just be faster if u walk, depending on how far u go.
