Who was right in this situation?

I had a cook out at my house on flag day. I spent close to $250 dollars on food. My brothers wife and her kids(Not his) are vegans. So i had to buy tofu(Veggie burgers, veggie hot dogs, salad stuff and fruit) for them to eat. I laid all the food out on the table and let the guests help themselves. With the exception of the grilled stuff. In the middle of the party my sister in law has a fit because one of her little darlings ate a real hot dog(The kids ten, he knew what he was eating). Somehow this was my fault for not watching the kids better. She's acting like I tried to poison her little darling. I feel that it was her kid and she should have been watching them. So you tell me. Was it my fault that her kid ate a real hot dog?

I am 100% absolutely positively on your side. The kid wanted a 'real meat' dog- so what. And yes, she should have been watching the little....fella. I wish I could have been there....Hey, just for kicks, mail her some Oscar Mayer coupons. Or maybe even Hebrew National!!!

if she cant watch what her child eats, then thats her fault, did it kill her child??? lol .you went out of your way to supply vegan food stuff, the rest is on her as a parent!!! not you.PS, how much meat is in a hot dog anyways??? lol maybe the boy likes meat, he made the choice not you.

Not your fault. She needed to be watching her children. You provided and he knew what he wanted. Forget the money. It is family.

It's her fault. She should have been watching her children. You had enough to do hosting a cook out.

It's not your fault, but you need to stop keeping score w/ the money thing. It makes you look bad when you're asking this question. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just lending some insight.

Nope -- not your fault. You were the host, not the babysitter.

Nope. The kid knew better, and even if he didn't, he's HER kid, not yours.
