Now that the iPhone is finally up to speed with all the basics with 3GS and 3.0, think its worth buying?
For me, its basically finally up to speed with mms, a decent camera, video recording and finally the promise of improved battery life.
And most important, its the only smartphone on the market i can find that can seamlessly switch between typing japanese and english (which is a must for me)
but what are your thoughts?
3Gs worth it? or not~
think the palm pre or something is better?
lemme know! i wanna hear all your opinions ;3
Yeah i don't have the iPhone yet. I was holding off because of the poor battery life on the previous model.

It is good that you already know what your really want on the iphone. In your case, switching from japanese to english is a must and iphone do have international language offered so you may take advantage of it. But to help you decide , you can visit the source link below and search for the topic "IPHONE 3GS ADDED FEATURES AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS" you may aslo find there informative information about the iphone

Well for you I don't think it will be worth the 3Gs. Mainly because 3.0 will have most of what you want. They will have mms and an improved battery live on all of the iPhones. Also you can jailbreak your phone and be able to record videos on it. So, basically the only two things you would get out of the 3G s is a little speed an auto focus camera. I was also rereading your question and I think I misread it. I think you mean you don't have the iPhone yet. If you don't then yes by all means the Iphone 3G s is the way to go. I personally strongly believe that the iPhone is the best smartphone on the market at this time. So basically if you have the iPhone 3G right now I don't know if it's worth the upgrade, but if you don't even have an iPhone at this time and looking for a smart phone then the iPhone is the way to go. Hope this helps!
