I will be the first Steelers fan to stand up and say that yes, other NFL franchises have more championships. Granted, there were different #s of teams in the league at the time, different contexts, etc., but it remains a statistical fact. The Steelers have a lot to be proud of, but they are not the only team that can be proud of its history.

However, the Steelers are the champions of the NFL right now. So if your plea to put things in context falls on deaf ears, please understand that the happiness that comes with winning a championship can make one forget the past (at least temporarily.)

It's also statistical facts that the Packers haven't won the Super Bowl since 1997, and the Bears since 1986. The Giants won it in 2008, but to get to their previous championship, you have to go back to 1991. The Steelers only have to go back to 2006. The Steelers are in their prime right now, and it's a very happy time to be a Steelers fan. :) It's entirely possible that someday the Steelers may catch up to, or even pass up, the Packers, Giants and Bears in overall championships. We'll have to see.

WHO CARES! The Chargers have kicked the living shyt out of the Raiders the last 13 times in a row that they've played. They're ONLY excuse is "how many championships have you won?" As if winning the Superbowl 25 years ago makes a difference today! Half of the morons who use that defense weren''t even born the last time that the Raiders won championship.

No one cares about before the Super Bowl era. Just ask Lions fans. '54, we win NFL championship, but have not won, or been to any, Super Bowls.
