ricky rubio to warriors?
so who thinks warriors should trade for the number 2 pick, give memphis brandon wright or something since randolph will be the starting pf of the future, not wright and monta can not play point to be honest, he is a score first pass second. if not randolph then maybe give them crawford(if he decides not to opt out) or maggette.
heres how our lineup will probably be if don nelson decides to actually play rookies...
starting:
pg:rubio sg:monta sf:captain jack pf:randolph c:biedrins
backups: pg watson, sg: belinelli sf:bukie pf: magette or wright c:turiaf
That is a pretty raw lineup, i think that will be championship material in the future.
crawford isnt gonna be back next year, don nelson already told him to opt out or we trade him.
psh u serious? their giving nash comparisons to rubio
oh im sorry i mean our pick and one of the 3 players
meh, i think rubio would do fine, but then again how many bust has the warriors drafted so far??
we dont need a dominant pf to win since we do run and gun style which requires mainly solid big men who can finish like biedrins and randolph is a good shot blocker/rebounder, id be happy if he becomes like lamar odom. thats all we need outta him

I'd trade Monta for Rubio. The kid has too much skillz to be a bust. This type of court vision and passing skills doesn't come around very often. Memphis would have to consider this trade since Monta has a proven ability to score and Rubio is a question mark. But, I'd take the risk because the Warriors have talent at SG to replace Monta's scoring - Belinelli or Azubuike can step in as evident by this year they did pretty good. I think Monta is overrated. He is more of a Ben Gordon/Jason Terry as far as being kinda 1-dimensional. He's defintely not the mold of a PG (except height) and that is the one position the Warriors are desperate for since losing Baron (as evidenced by their lack of ball movement and leadership last year).

Looking at that lineup I would have to say that is possibly the youngest team. Yet if they grow and stay together that could be a great team, however the only thing missing is a dominant PF which Randolph is not. Randolph is an Odom-type player and not particularly a low-post PF. As for Memphis trading for Wright, that's a possibility.
Well I think you need a dominant low-post scorer if you want to win that championship. Look at all of teams in this decade that have won. Lakers had Shaq, Spurs had Duncan, Celtics had Garnett. You mentioned Biedrens, but he is FAR from being a low-post threat, he's primarly a shot blocker and rebounder with a very limited offensive repertoire. Yes that would be a formidable Warriors team but you're gonna need an inside presence to win a championship. The run and gun style of Don Nelson has proven to be a good regular season style, but DEFENSE is what counts in the playoffs. A good defensive team that takes care of the ball can easily shut down the Warriors' offense.

Ricky Rubio's agent, Dan Fagan, doesn't want Rubio to play for Warriors partly because of the somehow unfair treatment to his other client, Al Harrington, and he is pushing so hard to guarantee Grizzlies will draft the kid.
Even if Grizzlies show interest to deal with Warriors, I seriously doubt Warriors can offer any players that convinces Grizzlies at all (including Brandan Wright and Monta Ellis), while Grizzlies wil request Warriors to pick up bad contracts of either Marko Jaric or Darko Milicic.
Therefore, swapping picks remains the only possible way to strike a deal involving Rubio, but you can easily name 2-3 teams with more sound pitching proposals than Warriors.
Therefore, it is no longer a

That would be a great team in the future, but I don't think the Grizzlies are going to want Brandon Wright, Maybe add their pick, which is the 8th or 9th.

Rubio is overrated and when he goes to the NBA youll see. He is going to be like an adam morisson.
