I want to build an indoor pond with a window for my RES?
I want to build a pond for my RES in my apartment (it's large with concrete floors). I would like to be able to see into the water though, so I am hoping to make one side acrylic and the other sides out of a cheaper material. Any ideas? tips? or help? It will hold at least 75 gallons, hopefully more. I was thinking of buying a large rubbermaid bin and cutting out one side, then sealing in a plexiglass piece with silicon.

the pump is going to be important.... I would also consider putting a camera on one side so that you could get a better view....Also consider the lighting.... and the temp of the water if you are going to have fish.... maybe even two temp sensors (for the top water and the deep water).... sounds like a fun project....the larger rubbermaid bin will not be big enough or strong enough for 75+ gallons....also 75+ gallons is going to be really heavy.... maybe 600 lbs....use could use guy wire to make it stronger.....
