In some manner all dogs mark. This is why they smell the ground before peeing. Some dogs are aggressive markers and mark everywhere they can, some do it secretly so not to be challenged, and some seem uninterested in it. No well potty trained dog, male or female will mark in the house if taught differently.
Puppies do not scent mark. That is not why they are piddling everywhere. They have weaker bladder control and can not hold it for long periods of time. Expect to take a puppy outside to pee at least every two hours at first. You have to develop positive potty behavior in all puppies!

I have heard that if you neuter a male dog the chances of him marking territory is slim. I have owned many male dogs but none of them were neutered so i guess i can not say weather or not this is true? There have been a few people that have told me their neutered males don't mark.

Cats do not carry their legs to visit the toilet. A male puppy usually would possibly not mark territory within the apartment in case you have them neutered earlier than they achieve sexual adulthood. Any puppy will most probably mark nevertheless, if they may be able to odor that a male has marked the subject earlier even a feminine.

In the house? Or outside?
Well all dogs including female dogs mark there spots, well when there not fixed that is. But in the house, if it is properly trained it will only mark there spot outside.

Do you mean will they mark in the house? Not if properly trained, regardless of if it is altered or not.

If you are going to fix him before 6 months, he probably won't mark. If the male is not fixed, his hormones will tell him to mark.

No they don't all mark their spot. You MUST get him neutered if you don't want him marking everywhere.
