If you want a guy with a career OBP of .301, who hasn't had an OPS+ of over 100 since 2005, currently rocking a .215/.287/.354 line, and is on the wrong side of 30, then yes, great pickup.
He'll wash up on some team's roster with a minor league deal and be called up somewhere when teams expand to 40 in September.
