I have an I/OMagic portable 250 gb hard drive which is not working.?

When it tries to turn on, the blue power light sends out a series of flashes - 1 and then 6. Does this mean anything, like an error code?

    Hi Monty,

    I would advice you to try and connect this drive to another USB ports on your computer.

    If the status remains same, it is advisable to contact the Support Desk (Live Chat or Email) and check for the meaning of Light status.

    All I can suggest (as I had problems with a portable drive recently) is to buy a new drive caddy and see if that fixes the problem - 9/10 portable hard disk failures are the caddys fault, usually the hard disk is functioning ok.
