Zoloft face sagging drooping?

been taking for a year. the min amount.Zoloft helps me remain even. I don't say stupid things. don't get too emotional. It's very subtle but it realy helps.

I look like i don't feel well or I look years older. I can see it especially around my mouth...

I have taken Z before and thought I noticed it. But I am finally going on vacation and I thought I'd stop taking it for a while..I can see the difference already.

Anybody have any recommendations for the same effect of Zoloft that won't do this?

THANKS!

I recommend switching to Lexapro. It is much less side effects than any other antidepressant. I was on Zoloft for the past two years and I was miserable. I was experiencing diarrhea on a daily basis, shaking, and it made me feel drugged up. I take Lexapro for depression and my experience has been wonderful. It makes me happy but it's a natural, free-flowing happy. Lexapro highly rated as one of the best antidepressants. Best of Luck with finding the right medication!

Edit: When I took Zoloft, I gained a massive amount of weight and my face did start to sag, especially under my eyes and my lips!

I can't tell you anything different what to take instead, not my place, understand. Well there's exercise, smiling and frowning can excercise your profile. running will get your blood flowing free. Use store bought face cleanser and toner.

I take breaks from my medications also, I have to or I'll go crazy and flush them in toilet.

Odd time to stop medication, aren't you afraid of re-lapsing on your vacation?

  • Hi Wally.

I'm on Zoloft too. i've only been taking it for a month and yes you're right..it's very subtle.

My GP told me she only wants me on it for 6 months MAXIMUM since she isn't comfortable with any long term use. she didn't explain why but maybe it's a common side effect?

DEFINITELY check it out with yoru doctor!
