Can you divide Thymus coccineum?

I just bought a nice 3 quart pot and I would like to get more bang for my buck so is it possible to either divide it or to take cuttings?

Yeah it doesn't take much. You just need a bit of plant with root on it to plant. If you plant the original whole, you'll be able to cut out a hunk and replant it in a few months.
