can't find parts for 05 chevy silverado?
anyone know where to find the micro bulbs that go in the factory Delphi cd stereo in my 05 silverado? The dealer said I'd have to buy a new stereo, which is stupid to replace a stereo because it has a couple lites out. I checked with my local parts stores, but they can't get them. the bulbs are about the size of a b,b, or smaller and have a plastic base you twist in 1/4 turn.

not sure where you are
but try a car stereo audio dealer shop
radio shack store can get individual electronic parts
different electronics stores
or junkyard, get a whole radio
install whole radio if all works, or just use the parts for your radio, example, individual bulbs as needed, knobs, switches, etc.....

Those radios cost about 600.00 to 800.00 bucks, if you take it apart, it may just go into theft lock mode, so on top of not being able to buy the bulbs, you'll have to go to the dealer and pay an addition 1.0 hour labor to unlock the radio unless you have the lock out code. It may also set the security light on depending on the model radio you have. It might be easier and cheaper to live with a burned out bulb huh?

Try an independent stereo sales/installation company. They will probably know where to get them. I suspect installation will cost far more than the actual bulbs. Good luck.
