Imo, the psp has the best Final Fantasy game bar none. As long as you enjoy the FF VII series even a little you will love Crisis Core. To tell you the truth i do not play my ds much so i cant tell you too much about the games on the ds but I do hear that FF IV got good review on the ds so that should be noted and they also got good reviews with FF XII: Revenant Wings. To combat that the psp has FF Tactics: The War of The Lions which was really fun and wasted countless hours on the bus/skytrain. Overall its up to you to decide which games you like more. For me psp with crisis core wins it.
ps. if you dont mind the japanese menus etc. you should try out Dissidia for psp, its pretty fun, an 8 out of 10 for me.
Hope I helped

If you want graphics, a bigger screen, the feel of PlayStations and the ability to use the device for multimedia, the PSP. Though the battery life is about 4 hours.
If you just want a device for gaming, a variety of games, flip-top (for screen protection), smaller screens (has 2 screens, but obviously 1 is touch) and a battery life of about 8 hours, the DS(i).
Or you could get a laptop... :P
