Those marked with * have a daily finds topic, where they post the best new free downloads. You should check them out every once in a while, it saves you time :)

Mostly I just googled the cc sites I loved from the sims 2 and found their sims 3 versions. So if you had a site you loved, just google the name and add sims 3 to it ;)

Yep - there are a few around not as many as Sims 2 and nowhere near what used to be around in the hey day of Sims1 but there are still some there. Club Crimsyn Black Pearl Sims (no need to join to download) Cherry Blossom Sims (registration required) All About Style Liana Sims Simply Styling Garden Breeze Simcredible Design Kitty Klan XM Sims Garden Of Shadows (no need to register to download) Sims Cave (registration required) Sims Design Avenue And of course PMBD for the pay stuff for free That should get you started :)

The sims resource is a great website to download cc. Only downside is that you have to be registered to download it but it's worth it!

Sims 3 Custom Sims

http://www.thesimsresource.com/ - This website is the best because you dont have to intall Winrar or Winzip or whatever that stuff is called. All you need to do is have your game launcher open. and when you find something you like just click the download button after the download is complete click on it and it automatically adds it to your game.
