If I am not mistaken Romney was on the ground in Louisiana before obama, but indifferent of that you say "In recent history, the presidential challengers usually left their party conventions and embarked immediately on their campaign tours" So what are you trying to say, Romney should have followed the lead of other candidates or are you trying to tell me Romney is rich? Either case it makes no difference to me, I know he is rich and I could really care less if you think he should have gone boating or not. I do love it though, you are blaming Romney who is NOT yet the president for the suffering in Louisiana and say NOTHING about the man that SHOULD be there ensuring things are taken care of. Oh that's right, obama has to look after his personal gain and not the country and its people.

Navy One
EDIT: The boat doesn't change its name. The boat "becomes" Navy One. If the president boarded any plane it would be called "Air Force One" because the president is on it. Same with a boat, car, etc.

There is no longer a presidential yacht. when it was it was called the Sequoia, Jimmy Carter got rid of it, and it has gone to disrepair.

There is no permanent boat for the President. "Navy One" is the name of the Naval aircraft flying him, not the ship. Any sea-going vessel he boards doesn't change it's name either.
