When a user is suspended for violating the Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines, their Yahoo! Answers account is disabled.

They can still browse the website, but they cannot ask questions, or answers questions on the site.

All suspensions are permanent. You can only get your account back if you appeal for your account and your appeal is accepted, and that happens only when you are suspended by a false violation, but 98.9% of the time, the appeals are declined, and so almost no one ever get their accounts back. It can sometimes take weeks to hear back from the answers team.

If you violate the Yahoo! Terms of Service (impersonate someone, harass users here, use pornographic pictures) your account will be Deactivated if Yahoo! receives a report.

Difference between suspension and account deactivation is that you can still have your Yahoo! ID if you are suspended (as in you can still use your Yahoo! Mail and other Yahoo! services except Yahoo! Answers), but if your account is deactivated, you will lose your entire Yahoo! ID, and won't be able to sign in into your email!

  • If he gets a response, it will most likely be an unhelpful automated response. Accounts are suspended forever.

Just tell him to make another one. I think the appeals are even automated.

Trolls seem to be in control of this site.

If he is just here for fun then making a new account is the way to go.

If he was here to share real information then tell him to go to answerbag.com or wiki.answers.com. They don't have the massive troll problems or false deletions at those places...and more real info is shared.
