Inverse function for y=x*sin(x)?
I was working on an answer to a question yesterday and I had a need for an inverse function to y = x*sin(x) between x=0 and the point where it is maximum a little past x=2. I can't figure out a way to do it. Is there one? I can't even find the exact x value where the maximum occurs.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

I don't think you can find an actual inverse function. The only thing I can think to do is to plot out many points on the function and then invert the values (x for y, y for x, by definition of an inverse function). But I don't think that there is a nice and neat algebraic way to solve this problem.
