Are KEH.com's Asking Prices Reasonable?

I was considering selling some of my camera equipment to KEH, but was concerned if their price quote is reasonable, or if it usually fluctuates once they receive it? I've bought a lot of my photographic equipment from them, but....

I dont really want to invest all the time, shipping, and insurance if they are just going to try to BS me. Does anyone have any input?

If you want a quick sale and the price difference is not that much or doesn't matter to you, I think Keh is a good place. I buy my LF stuffs from Keh a lot, since their way of rating the equipments are pretty good, but I do not sell my equipments to them cos they always quote lower than "reasonable".

But its kinda understandable since they need profit as well by selling them. Most of the time, I sell it in a forum, craigslist and the last option will be THE auction site. You get more by selling it this way, but it takes some researches for the right price and some time.

No business is going to give you what you think the gear is worth. They are buying it to sell, and they can't get any more out of if than you can. So they may give you $0.35 on the dollar for what the gear would sell for today... maybe a little more, but not much more. Also, put yourself in their shoes on the quote. You tell them you have X gear, they say "OK, about $200", sight unseen. Once they get and inspect the gear, that number could certainly change. Most likely for the worse of course.

I've bought from KEH, but never sold to them. I don't think I've ever sold any of my gear now that I think about it. I've given some away, and kept the rest.
